For the better part of the morning, we lazed around, me reading and working on a song on guitar and Sunghee playing on Cyworld (Korean facebook) as always. At noon we left for lunch with Sunghee’s Grandmother’s friend, where we had sam gup sal (yum!), some other delicious spicy meat, loads of different types of kimchie, cold spicy noodles and spict rice, all of which were very tasty.
After eating, we went to the dentist so Sunghee could get a check-up since its too costly in Canada for her. The densist is Sunghee’s Grandmother’s friend’s son, (take a breath) who is apparently a famous dentist. He insisted he give me a complimentary check-up, and though I really hate going to the dentist, I agreed. First, he checked for cavities, and for once, I have none! He noticed that my teeth are very deep, so he decided to fill in the groove, which is apparently a very expensive, but thankfully painless procedure. After this, he air-polished my teeth which takes away the stains and whitens them. Apparently, this is also very expensive.
As if he hadn’t treated me enough, he said goodbye with a dental kit containing a mirror, two types of toothbrushes and toothpaste, all in a nice case.
After the generous dentist, we went home and lazed around more. :) Then we went out for Japanese food, which seemed to me to be exactly like Korean food… It was very delicious!
